MV Theater is in full swing!

Make A Scene features student-directed, student-selected scenes on February 9, 10 at 7pm and Saturday, February 11 at 3pm  & 7pm. Tickets ($8) on sale here.

Musical Theatre Experience (singing, acting, choreography and audition workshops) slotted for Tuesday nights in January and February.

Aida, including a pop rock score by Elton John and lyrics by Tim Rice, this timeless story of love’s triumph over hate will be presented as this year’s 2017 Spring Musical on May 4, 5, and 6 at 7pm in the MVHS Auditorium.

  • The production features 50-60 cast members, directed by Nathan Bramstedt.
  • Pit auditions will be held in March.
  • Tickets go on sale in April and will also be available at the door.

The MVHS Music Department was awarded an IPEF grant to bring in guest artists and technicians.

  • The cast of Aida was able to take advantage of a special afternoon opportunity in January with Heather Headley, a Trinidadian-American singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. She has won a Tony Award, A Grammy Award and a Drama Desk Award and has been nominated for a host of other acting and music accolades. She may be best known for her role of Nala in the Broadway production of The Lion King and as Shug Avery in the Broadway production of The Color Purple.   • Another opportunity will be in March with Alexander Gemignani, Broadway actor and tenor, who plays King George III in the Chicago production of Hamilton.
